SPRING 2026 WATERCOLOR CLASS SCHEDULE // THURSDAYS FROM 6:30 - 8:30 PM
January 15 - Artist Studies
In this class, we’ll make artist studies (duplicates of famous paintings) using watercolor. We’ll start with learning how to replicate a composition and propositions accurately with drawing. Then, attendees will focus on using watercolors for color-matching, layering, and details.
January 29 - Values
Let’s focus on values! We’ll start by painting a single fruit in black and white. Then, we’ll paint it in color. This class will focus on gradients, light and shadow, and depth.
February 12 - Art + gratitude
In this class, we’ll reflect on art as a way to show gratitude to another. Attendees will create a watercolor painting to give to a loved one. We’ll also create watercolor cards inspired by Victorian Valentines.
March 12 - Reflective Objects
In this class, we’ll learn how to paint shiny objects and reflective surfaces. Attendees will focus on creating highlights and shadows in their paintings.
April 9 - Still Lifes
Still life painting returns! In this workshop, students will bring a single object to paint. We’ll start by making monochrome paintings of our objects, then we’ll paint them in full color. Attendees will learn about reflection and shadow, color mixing, and backgrounds.
April 30 - Experimenting with materials
Let’s experiment with materials! We’ll learn how to create unique effects and add details with the use of pen and ink, colored pencil, and other materials in our paintings.
May 14 - Abstract Pet Portraits *5:30-8:30 PM*
Pet Portraits returns! But this time, we’re making abstract portraits. In this class, we’ll focus on different abstract techniques to create a unique portrait of your favorite four-legged pal. Each attendee will bring an image of a pet to paint. Please note: this is a three-hour class with heavy snacks provided.
